Support to students for language proficiency tests

Are you having difficulty passing the English or French language proficiency test (“idoneità”)?
You can turn to us for advice on how to improve your preparation.
Language counselling is intended to optimise your learning, especially if you are about to graduate or have other upcoming deadlines related to passing the test and if our curricular courses (courses with teachers and/or the self-study online course) weren’t enough for you: this means that you need to change your strategy.
You can make an appointment by writing to c.ling@unipr.it (e-mail subject: language counselling).
- In a first meeting (preferably by video call on Teams), one of our language counsellors will help you to understand where you are on your path and what you can do to achieve your goals: you will try to identify together your weaknesses and strengths, in order to guide you in designing your learning process yourself.
- In a second (in-person) meeting with a native-speaker teacher, you can go into more detail on the language aspects, in order to understand how best to fill any gaps that may have emerged in the tests you have taken, which you may be able to view.
Counselling meetings are not to be confused with individual lessons, but represent a free service which can be useful to reflect on your learning and optimise your preparation for the test.
This service is intended only for students whose programme of study includes one of the curricular language proficiency tests managed by the Language Centre and not other language exams (for which students should refer to the professor in charge of the specific exam).
