Curricular language proficiency tests managed by the Language Centre

 

The University Language Centre manages the curricular language proficiency tests (“idoneità linguistiche”) listed below.

Check if the language test required by your programme of study is one of these by verifying if it is an “idoneità” (pass/fail exam without mark) and depending on the Department and degree course in which is offered.

For any other “idoneità”, language course units or graded language exams, please refer to your Department or degree course webpages and to relevant office or professor at your Department.

 

Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Industries:

•  ENGLISH B1 and B2
  
•  FRENCH B1 and B2

(N.B. second-cycle degree course Filosofia: only “Idoneità di Ateneo Francese B2” offered in Parma, not Ferrara)

Department of Law, Politics and International Studies:

•  ENGLISH B1 and B2
•  FRENCH B1  

Department of Industrial Engineering Systems and Technologies:

•  ENGLISH B1
•  ENGLISH B2 only for the second-cycle degree course Organisational, digital and administrative innovation in the P. A.

Department of Engineering and Architecture:

•  ENGLISH B1
•  FRENCH B1 and B2  

Department of Medicine and Surgery:

•  ENGLISH B1 only for the following first-cycle degree courses: Biomedical laboratory techniques - Psychological sciences and techniques for contemporary challenges - Childhood neuro and psychomotricity
•  ENGLISH B2 only for the following second-cycle degree courses: Medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical biotechnologies - Psychobiology and cognitive neuroscience

Department of Chemistry, Life Sciences and Environmental Sustainability:

•  ENGLISH B1 and B2  

Department of Food and Drug:

• ENGLISH B1 and B2

Department of Economics and Management:

•  ENGLISH B1 only for the first-cycle degree course Economics and management of sustainable agri-food supply chains 

Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences:  

•  ENGLISH B1   

Department of Veterinary Science:  

•  ENGLISH B1 
•  ENGLISH B2 only for the single-cycle degree course Veterinary medicine

 

The various course units managed by the Language Centre have different names, codes and number of credits depending on the degree course, but they are all linked to the following main course units:
