If you have in your programme of study a curricular language proficiency test (“idoneità”) managed by the Language Centre, you can prepare for the test with an online self-study course on the Elly portal and/or with courses held by native-speaker teachers, when activated.
These courses are not compulsory in order to take the “idoneità” test.

COURSES WITH TEACHER
For the 2nd semester 2025/2026, the Language Centre offers 24-hour courses held by a Language expert (CEL = Collaboratore ed Esperto Linguistico). It is not necessary to enrol in order to attend lessons.

COURSES FOR STUDENTS WITH SLD
The University of Parma offers specific English language courses for students with certified SLDs (Specific Learning Disorders). These courses are mainly (but not exclusively) aimed at students who have the “idoneità” test in their programme of study, with the possibility for attendees to take a personalised test.
Information about these courses, when activated, is published on the CAI website (Centro di Ateneo per l'Inclusione) at this link.
Courses (starting in October 2025 for the a.y. 2025/2026) are preceded by an informational meeting (09/10/2025) and an entry test to place students in the appropriate course: all details are available on the courses Elly page at this link (Elly Didattica > Centro Linguistico di Ateneo > Lingua Inglese per Studenti con Disturbi Specifici dell’Apprendimento).
