INTERNSHIP AT PITZER COLLEGE IN ITALY

Pitzer College in Italy is a program for U.S. students, who wish to spend a semester abroad in Parma, Italy.

The academic semesters last from mid-January to beginning of May (Spring semester) and from beginning of September to mid-December (Fall semester).

The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of English language, organizational skills, punctuality, passion and enthusiasm for meeting pairs from the U.S. and become a reference point for them.

We ask the intern to:

- welcome the students at the arrival in Milano

- accompany them to different offices/classes at the Università during the orientation week

- be a model for Italian culture

- help in organizing events with Italian students for a better integration in the Italian culture

- assist the Professors during the on-site lectures and trips to nearby towns such as Milano, Firenze, Venezia etc.

- assist and encourage students in their learning process

The internship is unpaid but all the expenses (travel, participation to events with the students, etc) are reimbursed. Moreover, the intern student can, if he/she wishes, participate to all classes for a better exposition to the English language. The intern should consider this project in its totality (and not in matter of hours), in order to value personal and US pair’s progress in the learning process. Students who need longer internship are most welcome.

Students interested in undertaking an internship at Pitzer College Parma are required to submit a CV, indicate their preferred semester, and directly contact us for an interview at pitzerinitaly@gmail.com
